Loaded with all the best things
Ingredients
3/4 Cup Oats
2 Cups All-purpose flour
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 Cup Unsalted butter, melted
1 Cup Brown sugar
1/2 Cup White sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
2 Eggs
3-4 Cups Chocolate chips
Flakey Sea Salt
Instructions
In a food processor, pulse oats 5-6 times until left with a fine powder as well as larger oat pieces.
Whisk together the ground oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars and melted butter until you reach a smooth and silky consistency and a lighter color.
Whisk in the vanilla and eggs until smooth and light in color.
Fold in the dry ingredient until combined. Fold in the chocolate.
Scoop large balls of cookie dough close together onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Chill for several hours or overnight.
Bake 4-5 cookies at a time in 350 degree oven for about 14 minutes. Rotate cookies about half way through baking. Cookies should be golden brown on the edges with a soft center.
Sprinkle cookies with flakey sea salt while they are still warm.
Notes
For the chocolate chips, use any combination or chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, M&Ms, chopped nuts, chopped chocolate, caramels, etc.
Original recipe says 18-20 cookies, I make about 24 large cookies.
